Bagh-Bakri (Tiger-Goat)

This is the popular two players strategy board game in the rural India, Nepal and Bangladesh. It is known as "Bagh Bakri" in Hindi, "Bagh Chal" in Nepal, "Sher Bakar" in Punjab, "Bagha Chheli" in Orissa (Odisha), "Bagh Bondi" in West Bengal and Bangladesh, "Adu Puli Aatam" in Tamil Nadu, "Adu Huli" in Karnataka. Here tigers try to kill goats and goats try to block tigers.

This game support single player modes (where the system is the other player) and two players modes (both offline and online).

Rules of the game

1. It is a 2 player game. One player has to play as the tiger and other one should play as the goat. When you play alone, the device is the other player.

2. There are 4 tigers placed on the board. As the levels progress, the number of goats may or may not be reduced. There are 25 places on the board, where the tigers and goats can be placed. The goats and tigers can only move along the lines of the board.

3. At the start of the game, 4 tigers are placed at the four corners of the board. Then 4 goats will be placed by the player playing as the goat at any of the empty places on the board. After that the tiger's and goat's turn will come alternately.

4. A goat can be placed at an empty place by dragging it from the goat shed at the right bottom corner of the board. Goats should be placed on the board until all the goats in the goat shed are exhausted. The number of remaining goats in the goat shed is displayed inside the goat shed. After the goats are exhausted, they can be moved from one place to other on the board.

5. Tigers have to be moved from one place to another on the board during its turn.

6. At a time, only 1 entity (either tiger or goat) can be moved.

7. A tiger can move to an adjacent empty place. It can kill a goat by jumping over it, if there is an empty space after the same goat in a straight line. The tiger will be placed at that empty place after killing the goat. A tiger cannot jump over another tiger. When a goat is killed, it goes the tiger's mouth at the right upper corner of the board and the number of goats killed by the tiger is displayed there.

8. If there are purple lines on the board, a tiger can't kill a goat along those lines.

9. A goat can only move to an adjacent empty place. It leaves the board once killed. It cannot jump over any tiger or goat.

10. The tiger wins if it kills 5 goats. The goat wins if all four of the tigers can't move to any place.

Game Modes

In this application, one can play in Single Player Mode, where one player will be the person playing it and the other player will be the device. In this mode, one can play as Tiger or Goat.

If two people want to play the game physically, Two Players Mode should be selected, where one player has to play as tiger and the other player has to play as goat.

On the first screen of this application, there are 4 buttons ‘Play as tiger’, ‘Play as Goat’ and ‘Two Players Mode (On The Same Device)’ and 'Two Players Mode (Online)'. First two are for single player mode and the last two are the two player modes.

For the 'Two Players Mode (Online)' mode, you can play online with any other player. For that you have to select a free game room and then your role (tiger or goat). If already there is a player in the game room, you can start the game otherwise you have to wait for another player to join in that game room.

Regras do jogo

1. É um jogo para 2 jogadores. Um jogador tem que jogar como o tigre e outro deve jogar como a cabra. Quando você joga sozinho, o dispositivo é o outro jogador.

2. Existem 4 tigres colocados no tabuleiro. À medida que os níveis progridem, o número de cabras pode ou não ser reduzido. Existem 25 lugares no tabuleiro, onde os tigres e cabras podem ser colocados. As cabras e tigres só podem se mover ao longo das linhas do tabuleiro.

3. No início do jogo, 4 tigres são colocados nos quatro cantos do tabuleiro. Em seguida, 4 cabras serão colocadas pelo jogador jogando como cabra em qualquer um dos lugares vazios no tabuleiro. Depois disso, a vez do tigre e da cabra virá alternadamente.

5. Os tigres devem ser movidos de um lugar para outro no tabuleiro durante o seu turno.

6. Por vez, apenas 1 entidade (tigre ou cabra) pode ser movida.

7. Um tigre pode se mover para um local vazio adjacente. Pode matar uma cabra saltando sobre ela, se houver um espaço vazio após a mesma cabra em linha reta. O tigre será colocado naquele local vazio depois de matar a cabra. Um tigre não pode pular sobre outro tigre. Quando uma cabra é morta, ela entra na boca do tigre no canto superior direito do tabuleiro e o número de cabras mortas pelo tigre é exibido lá.

8. Se houver linhas roxas no tabuleiro, um tigre não pode matar uma cabra nesse sentido.

9. Uma cabra só pode se mover para um local vazio adjacente. Deixa o tabuleiro uma vez morto. Não pode saltar sobre nenhum tigre ou cabra.

10. O tigre vence se matar 5 cabras. A cabra vence se todos os quatro tigres não puderem se mudar para nenhum lugar.

Modos de Jogo

Nesta aplicação, pode-se jogar no modo single player, onde um jogador será a pessoa que jogará e o outro será o dispositivo. Neste modo, pode-se jogar como Tiger ou Goat.

Se duas pessoas quiserem jogar fisicamente, o Modo Dois Jogadores deve ser selecionado, onde um jogador precisa jogar como tigre e o outro jogador como cabra.

Na primeira tela deste aplicativo, existem 4 botões 'Jogar como tigre', 'Jogar como cabra' e 'Modo para dois jogadores (no mesmo dispositivo)' e 'Modo para dois jogadores (on-line)'. Os dois primeiros são para o modo single player e os dois últimos são os dois modos.

Para o modo 'Two Players Mode (Online)', você pode jogar online com qualquer outro jogador. Para isso, você precisa selecionar uma sala de jogos grátis e depois o seu papel (tigre ou cabra). Se já houver um jogador na sala de jogos, você poderá iniciar o jogo, caso contrário terá que esperar que outro jogador entre na sala de jogos.
